What is Employment Responsibilities and Rights (ERR)?
The Secretary of State requires each apprenticeship framework to include material and information to cover: • The rights and responsibilities of workers (including equal opportunities legislation) • The organisation, disciplines and representative structures of the industries concerned • The impact on the sector of public law and policies There is no separate certificate for this component of the Apprenticeship Framework. Currently this information is integrated across the Framework including the Common Induction Standards, (Care Standards) the NVQ (Competence component) and the Technical Certificate (Knowledge Based component). However using the introduction and establishment of the Qualifications Credit Framework Skills for Care are designing a stand alone unit that would cover the ERR knowledge and also be able to be used in conjunction with other awards to build credits towards a future qualification.
