What is Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and why is it important?
Emotional Intelligence (EI), often measured as an Emotional Intelligence Quotient (EQ), describes an ability, capacity, or skill in perceiving, assessing, and managing the emotions of oneself, of others, and of groups. In this last decade, science has discovered a tremendous amount about the role emotions play in our lives.
