“EMF-Free” wiring uses (1) special materials to shield or cancel the electric and magnetic fields, (2) special methods to eliminate stray currents that often cause high magnetic fields, and (3) proper placement of equipment, to minimize all EMF exposures. Installation costs are similar to those of regular wiring, except that the shielded materials themselves will cost more. “Low-EMF” wiring saves money by using standard unshielded materials, while still incorporating the EMF reductions of steps (2) and (3) above.
