What is email optimization?
Email optimization allows the Iron Mountain software to look inside email files to examine the email structure and attachments contained in a user’s PST file (for Outlook users only). If two users have the same file attachment, Iron Mountain will only back it up once. Otherwise the PST (email file) will be backed up as a flat file and without Optimization. This provides additional efficiency in the system and also ensures better performance when backing up these files with the result being a less intrusive backup.
