What is ELTABBs E-Mail list netiquette policy?
The guiding principle of the mailing list is to encourage participation from the full diversity of our members, from the oldest to the newest, the freelancer to the corporate employed. In practice this means (1) our posts should maintain a respectful tone at all times, paying close attention to the great diversity of our members, and (2) we ask ourselves whether our own post will encourage that continuing respectful participation. Content related to the work or business of being an English-language teacher is joyfully encouraged. This includes all topics related to being self-employed or employed within an organisation. Certain companies are allowed to announce their products and events. They have paid well for the privilege to do so. The money for this opportunity helps ELTABB defray operating expenses, particularly in the area of publishing ETM. For all other subjects on the mailing list, please mark “OFF TOPIC:” in the subject line, this will allow the reader at their own discretion
