What is Electronic Re-Presentment (ACH Transaction/RCK)?

0

The National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA) approved regulations governing the electronic re-presentment of NSF checks effective in 1998. When CHECKAlertUSA receives a check which has been returned against a Merchant Account, it is entered into our national database of check writer information. The check is electronically re-presented(RCK or re-presented check) through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) to the bank for payment, along with an applicable service fee. If the check does not clear on the first re-presentment, CHECKAlertUSA will use a proprietary model to optimize second attempt collections. CHECKAlertUSA can re-present the check two (2) times after the first pass through the bank.
