EHR stands for “electronic health record” which is an individual patient’s digital medical record. Electronic health record systems utilize computers to perform the storage and retrieval of individual records in a single computer or over the world wide web or a local area network. An EHR may be made up of digital medical records aggregated from many computers at many different locations.
