What is effect of population on environment?
The other answerers have touched on only one problem – ozone layer etc. There are many other areas of effect. Incerease in population needs more houses, industries, water etc. For providing housing, green jungles have been converted into concrete jungles. Over utiisation of ground water has depleted the source. Effluents from industries and use of high speed trawlers for fishing in the seas have affected marine life. Emission from factories leads to health problems in the surrounding areas.Use of plastic, fridges and a/cs also affect the environment. There is need for a conscious awareness among people to help retrieve the situation even from individual habits to save the future.
