What is EDI Capable?
Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is an electronic method of exchanging standardized business documents such as a purchase order or an invoice. Some Buyers require that the Sellers they do business with are EDI capable. In other words, each of you already use EDI and have the ability to send or receive the identified business documents electronically. EDI can save time and expense once two companies have agreed to an ongoing business relationship. Non-capable EDI Sellers should not bid on Ebids where the Buyer requires it.
