What is easier about the revised standards?
Some companies may find the new documentation requirements easier to implement. ISO 9001:2000 provides greater flexibility in selecting methods for meeting the requirements. In the new standard, documented procedures are required in only six places, as compared to 18 places in ISO 9000:1994. The focus is now more on process effectiveness, rather than process procedures.
