Matt Mihaly: The underlying concept of Earth Eternal is that it’s a world combining the essence of various cultural legends and myths with our own ideas, based in an extremely loose interpretation of real-world geography. We’re rarely literal, and we freely morph, mutate and otherwise mangle whatever we wish. The game comes before fidelity to history or canonical versions of a story or legend. there have been three ages in recorded history, with hints of more before that. Man existed during the second age, and died off during a self-destructive war, leaving the Beasts to arise once again. The gameplay itself will be fairly familiar to any MMO fan, with a few twists of our own. We’re not trying to innovate, however nave or inane that may sound in a market where everybody claims to be trying to.
