What is E-learning and does it involve the use of multimedia?
E-learning is instruction that is delivered electronically, in part or whole – via a Web browser through the Internet or an intranet, or through multimedia platforms such as CD-ROM or DVD. Its components can include the creation of content, content delivery and management of the learning experience. E-learning usually involves the integration of educational expertise with innovative multimedia technologies to produce engaging and experiential CD-ROM and web-based learning environments-from primary school level through to continuing professional education.
