What is dumb rabies?
• When an animal shows signs of depression, and is either easily frightened, or unusually tame. This may cause a wild animal to approach humans. • The animal may also show signs of partial paralysis such as abnormal facial expressions and paralyzed hind limbs. • “Foaming at the mouth” is actually excessive drooling as the rabid animal can no longer control its throat muscles and cannot swallow its own saliva.
