What is DTS? Will it be compatible with my current DVD player?
DTS, which stands for Digital Theater Systems, is the sound system used in many movie theaters. DTS soundtracks will soon be available on DVDs, as well. To hear the DTS soundtrack, you will need a DVD player with a DTS digital output and processor. Many of today’s receivers come with a six-channel input to allow you to hook up a stand-alone DTS decoder.
