What is DSM PTG?
DSM PTG has staff and facilities for the synthesis, characterization, processing, regulatory approval and manufacturing of new polymer products and device components. This vertically-integrated research and development approach permits the entire process to be performed within one organization, from invention to initial market launch. DSM PTG’s contract research and development activities principally involve unconfigured (pellets, powders, liquids, etc.) and semi-configured polymer products (e.g., film, tubing, membranes), but also include configured products and components which employ the Company’s proprietary polymers. Medical devices, in particular, are emphasized due to the experience of the founders in medical device and biomaterials development and manufacture. The Company’s goal is to be the industry leader in the commercialization of specialty and biomedical polymer products through continuous research and development activities.
