Drums Along the Waterfront, Inc. (DATW), a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, is an educational, promotional, and service arm of the youth drum and bugle corps activity in Western New York. DATW seeks to promote, develop and preserve the operation and artistic standards of the competitive musical sport, while organizing and providing leadership for the activity. DATW has produced 15 Drum Corps International (DCI) sanctioned events, 9 exhibition performances at Niagara Falls, as well as numerous other community performances. In 2005 and 2006 DATW held DCI Division II/III (now referred to as “open class” corps) events entitled “Finale to DATW,” at Johnnie B. Wiley Sports Pavilion located on the East Side of Buffalo.
