What is DRM free music?
DRM music is protected copyright music. In the past, iTunes has only sold DRM music because it makes it difficult for pirates to make illegal copies of the music and post it on downloading programs such as LimeWire. However, iTunes is now offering DRM-free music, because the quality is much higher, and it gives you the ability to make as many copies as you want. DRM licensing didn’t really do any good anyways. People still ended up finding ways to copy and distribute it for free. However record companies are now upset, because they think that iTunes is condoning illegal downloads… or something like that.
