What is Down’s syndrome and how is it caused?
Down’s syndrome is the most common and known form of mental retardation and is caused by a mishap in the chromosomes of the infant, where one of the chromosomes is damaged, causing mental and physical instability in the child. What are the symptoms of Down’s syndrome? The common symptoms of Down’s syndrome are easily noticeable at the inflicted child’s birth by a doctor and/or the parents of the child. One of these signs are that the child is generally physically and mentally not up to par, meaning that a child with Down’s syndrome are usually very quiet, slow to responding to questions and commands and are physically weak.
