Dovetail describes how the drawers of furniture pieces are joined together. Dovetail construction is an aspect of how long a piece of furniture is going to last. Poorly constructed or very inexpensive furniture does not use dovetail construction. The drawer pieces are stapled, screwed or glued together. At Khoury Inc. we use both English and French Dovetail in assembling our furniture.
