What is DORDOGNE STUDY CENTRE ?
Dordogne Study Centre is a small tuition centre in an unconventional setting some five kilometres from Mussidan. Under the direction of John Airs, students study for UK based exams or to improve their French. There are no age limits. John Airs went to the Universities of Grenoble and Oxford, was head of a UK Public School, and has been school head in the Dordogne, Normandy, Paris, Denmark and Poland. What do we do ? Dordogne Study Centre offers tuition leading towards IGCSE, A/S and A level. There is also tuition for adult students who need to “get by” in French without too much school type grammar-grinding. Revision courses can be arranged during school holidays. How does it work? Much of the tuition at DSC is provided by John Airs. Tuition is on an individual basis, or in small groups (maximum three students). DSC has no laboratory facilities which rules out science subjects.
