What is done to make contaminated land safe?
There are a number of different techniques used to clean up land and therefore make it safe for its intended use, this is known as remediation. In its broadest terms this includes removing contaminated soils and replacing with clean soils, placing a barrier between contaminated soils and person, animal or plant that may be affected by contaminated or soil biological remediation.
