What is done to household garbage once it has been delivered to a WastAway facility?

0

Household garbage delivered to the Bouldin & Lawson facility is recycled by the WastAway Process. Twenty minutes later, the household waste is transformed into a stable product called Fluff®. The most unique blend of organic and inorganic material in Fluff make it a very useful growing media. Other products are currently under research and development. A typical WastAway system can recycle approximately 100 – 120 tons of household garbage per day. (Multiple systems can be used to recycle larger waste streams.) Not only is the cost of recycling competitive with current disposal costs at landfills, but it may also be much less than the cost of existing recycling programs.
