What is done to help English learners?
English learners, who have been enrolled in California public schools less than 12 months, may use special accommodations for the California Standards Tests and the CAT/6 if the local board has adopted a policy that all schools in the district use to identify eligible students. These accommodations may include using a bilingual dictionary, having extra time, and having their teachers translate the test directions.
