What is does OAuth login and how is it configured?
OAuth allows users to log into Workbench and be authenticated directly by Salesforce without providing their username and password to Workbench. When users login with OAuth, they are redirected to Salesforce to provide their username and password, prompted to allow Workbench access their account, and then are returned to Workbench if they approve. If you have logged into a third-party application with Facebook or Linked In, it is a similar login flow, and gives users greater control of their login credentials. To configure OAuth, an administrator needs to create a Remote Access application configuration in a Salesforce org. Note, this only needs to be done once per Workbench instance in a given environment (e.g. Production/Sandbox, Pre-Release, etc), not for every org that will log into that Workbench instance.
