In the broadest sense, document delivery is the provision of books, articles, etc. from any source upon request, including interlibrary loan. However, most Emory libraries define document delivery more narrowly to mean the delivery of items from Emory library collections to Emory students, faculty and staff. The Emory libraries provide a variety of document delivery services, including delivery of items from from storage, between the the Atlanta and Oxford campuses and/or from their own collections. In June 2006, the Storage Library began using ILLiad to deliver journal articles to Emory students, faculty and staff, in addition to delivering entire books and journal volumes to the owning library. Requesters must be registered in ILLiad to receive journal articles from Storage. Articles from Storage will be delivered according to the delivery preference indicated in ILLiad.
