What Is DNA?
The human body consists of trillions of cells. Most of these cells have a nucleus, or center. The nucleus contains Deoxyribonucleic acid molecules, commonly known by its acronym DNA. DNA molecules serve as carriers of genetic information. The genetic information contained in DNA determines all the specific characteristics of a person. Our lab guarantees the most extensive DNA paternity test available, with guaranteed results. It is delivered with strict confidentiality, expert 24 hour service, and comprehensive professional aftercare. Our results are accepted in courts throughout the country.
The Y- chromosome DNA is passed from one generation to the next only from male to male. Since surnames are also usually passed from one generation to the next from male to male, this test is best suited for comparing individuals with the same surname, or at least with suspected common parentage. Because the Y-DNA is passed only from male to male, only a relatively small number of your ancestors, and their male offspring, share your Y-DNA, essentially only those also sharing your surname. Your male descendants also share your Y-DNA, but only if you are a male. To estimate how many individuals in our family tree shared the same Y-DNA. we printed a descendant chart from our oldest known male ancestor and marked all the individuals in the family tree that supposedly carry this ancestor’s Y-DNA by being part of his direct male lineage (including male siblings of each male descendant, who are of course also direct male descendants). In our particular case, a total of 84 out of 322 (or about
DNA is an abbreviation for Deoxyribonucleic Acid a piece of a chromosome that dictates a particular trait is called a gene. Each DNA strand is 10 atoms wide. The DNA stands in your body stretched out would be about 500 million miles long. There are so many millions of base pairs in each person’s DNA that every person has a different sequence. Q: Why is DNA testing useful in immigration cases? A: DNA testing is commonly used in family-based immigration cases in which a legal permanent U.S. resident or U.S. citizen wishes to sponsor their relatives for admission into the United States. In order to do so, the sponsor and their relative must provide proof of their relationship. Since DNA testing is the most accurate method to prove a biological relationship, many immigration attorneys and U.S. embassies now commonly use DNA testing to provide proof of biological relationships. Once the test is complete, Our partner lab will send a copy of the test results to the U.S. embassy overseas via F
DNA stands for deoxyribonucleic acid. It is a major component of a molecular unit called a ‘Nucleotide’ which is the building block of biological life. These nucleotides come in 4 forms, depending on which nitrogen ‘base’ is attached to it. Billions of these nucleotides are bound to each other like a string to form a ‘genome’. The fascinating aspect of DNA is that each of these nucleotides is bound to another nucleotide laterally to form a ‘base pair’, what is called ‘complementary binding’, and the shape that these base pairs take up is what is referred to as the DNA ‘Double Helix’ superstructure.
