What is DNA paternity Testing and how does it work?
Every person (with the exception of identical twins) has a unique genetic code identified by DNA (DeoxyriboNucleic Acid) found in each cell in the body. Genes come in different forms and sizes and are referred to as “alleles”. For each gene location, every person has two different sized alleles, one inherited from the mother, and one inherited from the biological father. We acquire more genetic information about the tested person(s) with each gene or “allele” tested.
