DLP HDTV 3D is a relatively new implementation of 3D LCD ‘shutter’ technology. Powered LCD shutter glasses are synchronized with the television/display alternating what the left-eye and right-eye see creating the illusion of depth. The current DLP HDTV 3D implementation calls for the display to have 120hz refresh with 60hz devoted to each side rendered in High Definition 1080p the end result is what many believe to be an unsurpassed 3D effect.
