What is Distance Learning and how does it affect my career?
The Distance Learning Web is currently a prototype and test bed for the use of distance learning as an alternative to traveling to Fort Bragg to attend SFANCOC. It is a component of the Army’s Force XXI program that is looking at alternatives to extensive travel and resident attendance costs associated with TDY. It also looks at expanding the use of existing technology to allow SF NCOs from around the world to be able to complete their ANCOC education in a more timely and effective manner while allowing them to remain with their team, no matter where they are. SF NCOs who participate in the Distance Learning Program are in no way adversely affected and compete equally with their peers.
