What is Disability Living Allowance, can I get it?
Disability Living Allowance is a benefit payable if you need care or if you have mobility problems. I don’t believe you can claim it if deafness is your only disability. More information is at http://www.direct.gov.
you can contact the Disability Living Allowance people direct on 08457 123 456 or text phone 08457 224433 or go to www.dwp.gov.uk this is the department for work and pensions website they will be able to either send you the forms or you may be able to fill them in and submit them online. you should be able to get all the information from here as to weather u may be entitled to DLA in some form or another. But sadly be aware that hard of hearing is not classed as disability in some cases, my father in law has lost hearing and 70% sight due to a tumor and hes not entitled to DLA because he is able bodied. no one can say weather u will get it or not, ur doctor will fill in part of the form , and ur audiogist the other but u may be asked to attend an outside assessment with an independant medical board to do with your claim. it will then go to assessors who decide.
