What is direct encoding and how does it work?
Direct encoding allows you to create MP3 files without the need for a PC. You connect a cable from the “line in” port of an MP3 player that supports direct encoding, to the headphone port or the line out jack of another audio device such as CD Player or a HIFI. You can then record the music playing from this audio device directly into MP3 format using your MP3 player.
