What is direct data entry (DDE)?

Direct Data Entry is the ability to type text into a form on the computer in contrast with copying or importing data from another source. When the functionality to enter claims via DDE is available and a provider has successfully re-enrolled in MIHMS, they will be able to enter individual claims information directly on the web portal. Training will be provided, however a schedule has not yet been determined.
