What is digital TV? What is the difference between digital TV and HDTV?
HDTV is “high-definition television” — a method of digital broadcasting that results in high-quality pictures and sound. SDTV is “standard-definition digital television” — an all-digital method of broadcasting that results in higher-quality pictures and sound than current analog TV, but not as good as HDTV. Sometimes, the term “ATV” or “advanced TV” is used as an umbrella term for DTV and HDTV.
