What is Digital Archives and Collections?
Digital Archives and Collections is a selection of digitized historical, cultural, and scientific resources related to East Texas. The original resources are housed in libraries, museums, archives, historical societies, and private collections throughout Texas and Mexico. The partner institutions can select a variety of photographs, documents, oral histories, maps, and artifacts for digitization and inclusion in the database. We are always seeking new partnerships at the university, community, state, national and international levels. If you are interested in becoming a partner or have any other questions, please contact us at (936) 468-4100 or asketrc@sfasu.edu. Additionally there are K-12 standards-based lesson plans and activities utilizing these digital primary sources freely available for use at TIDES for Teachers.
