Both the places are ion different States. Whilw India Gate is in Delhi, Gateway of India is in Mumbai, Maharashtra State.. The India Gate is the national monument of India. It is one of the largest war memorials in India. India Gate was originally known as All India War Memorial, it is a prominent landmark in Delhi and commemorates the 90,000 soldiers of the erstwhile British Indian Army who lost their lives fighting for the Indian Empire. The Gateway of India is a monument in Mumbai It is located on the waterfront in Apollo Bunder area in South Mumbai, The Gateway is a basalt arch 26 metres (85 ft) high. It was a crude jetty used by fisher folks and was later renovated and used as a landing place for British governors and other distinguished personages. In earlier times, the Gateway was the monument that visitors arriving by boat would have first seen in the city of Bombay.
