In technical terms a University in the UK is classed as a ‘Higher Education’ provider which offers degree level courses, while a College is a tertiary ‘Further Education’ provider that offers mainly certificates and diplomas. There are, however, a number of Colleges that offer ‘Higher Education’ courses such as degrees. An example of which was Bell College before it merged with the University of Paisley, as it offered degrees in nursing and social sciences. At the end of the day, employers look at the qualifications and grades you have rather than where you studied from. So it doesnt matter where you get it from. I would go for the course that is closer to home. You would save a lot of time and money.
