What is different about the JHU degree?
The Master of Science in Management – Emergency Management Leadership Program is designed for those responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and assessing crisis response and mitigation. This includes leaders who serve in law enforcement, fire/EMS, public safety, public health, the military, private security, the nonprofit community, and business and industry. The M.S. in Management builds on the recent advances in emergency management and focuses on elements essential to building the profession. These include defining responsibilities, establishing standards for entry and certification, building a body of knowledge, upholding values and standards of professional integrity, and more. The JHU EMLP program balances the needs of individual learners, their agencies, and the profession.
