What is different about the 2007 Daylight Saving Time (DST) event compared to previous events?

0

The US Energy Policy Act of 2005 specifies that beginning in spring of 2007 Daylight Saving Time (DST) will be extended. DST will start earlier, on the second Sunday in March and end later, on the first Sunday in November. The following North American time zones are affected: Newfoundland, Atlantic, Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific, and Alaska. All the countries in the northern hemisphere that use these time zones will comply with the DST changes; therefore, KronosĀ® is implementing time zone updates for active versions of Workforce CentralĀ® and other Kronos products. The time zone updates include changes to Kronos product software and to third-party products that are required for running Kronos products. The updates should be implemented prior to the start of March 2007.
