What is different about JumpStart now than before?
Most importantly, JumpStart has broadened and deepened its services for entrepreneurs. In the past, the majority of JumpStart’s services were offered as a bundled package of investment plus intensive guidance. The services offered to entrepreneurs were not entirely, but largely related to the process of receiving an investment. This business will still remain, which is critical because investment capital is required for companies to grow, and best practices indicate that capital plus guidance works better than just capital. This business will now be called JumpStart Ventures. We have broadened and deepened our services by adding two new lines of business: JumpStart TechLift Advisors and JumpStart Inclusion Advisors. These two lines of business expand our services because JumpStart will offer assistance services to entrepreneurs who are not interested in receiving investment capital, or will work with them if their investment profile isn’t the same as what the JumpStart Ventures group w
