What is difference in anodizing and chroming?
-Anodizing is an industrial coating that actually etches down into the metal. Its nearly impossible to get a good shine from it as it eats the surface a bit, so it looks a bit dull. It does come in a variety of colors. -Chroming is a plating that goes over the metal. generally it goes copper, nickel, then chrome. Aluminum does not like to be plated, eventually electrolisis will take place and the chrome will peel. Also of you bump it hard enough it will bubble and peel. When it peels it flakes into little razors, not a fun time. I’m not a big fan of chrome but it does look amazing while it lasts.
