What is difference between 3 & 4 cylinders engine in petrol cars. Which one is the best?
Three cylinder engines have one less cylinder than four cylinder engines. Neither is best. If one was better than the other, then they would only make that engine. A three cylinder engine would generally have better economy and emissions, but less power and torque. A manufacturer that has invested more money in a three cylinder engine would probably be able to make it as good as a competitors four pot, whereas another manufacturer might decide to keep the four cylinder engine it has, but concentrate on improving it.
