What is Development Coordination Disorder?
Development coordination disorder is a childhood disorder in which a child is slow to develop basic motor coordination skills. The child may have no other developmental concerns. If the youngster is mentally retarded, however, then Development Coordination Disorder will only be diagnosed if his or her physical delay is greater than would have been expected considering the child\’s diagnosis.
