Desktop wallpaper is a digital image that you can tile or center on your computer desktop as a background image. Your desktop files will rest on top of this image. All Windows and Macintosh computers ship with some sort of default background. You can select from a variety of background images to use as your desktop wallpaper. People change their desktop wallpaper for personalization and for variety. Desktop wallpaper is an option and is not “needed” to operate your computer. Oh, I get it!
