What is denatured alcohol good for vs. isopropyl alcohol?
isopropyl alcohol (aka “rubbing alcohol”) has a variety of uses as a solvent or a cleaner (ie. rubbing on skin) and is NOT fit for consumption. Denatured alcohol is ethanol (ie. ethyl alcohol/grain alcohol) that would otherwise be consumable, but has been poisoned (and thus not taxable as a consumable alcohol).
