What is Dematerialization?

0

Dematerialization is a process by which an investor can get physical certificates converted into electronic balances maintained in his account with Microsec in the depository system. The certificates are forwarded to the Registrar by Microsec and the Registrar processes them giving an equivalent credit in the investors beneficiary account. This is done at the request of the investor. As an investor you should first open an account with Microsec and then request for Dematerialization of your certificates by submitting the same to Microsec. Normally the process for Dematerialization takes 15 days.
