What is Degenerative Joint Disorder?
Degenerative disorders are a little like a situation where the outer insulating covering of an electrical cord wears out or starts to come apart. This causes currents to short, and abnormal results occur. The nerves are like wires, and they actually carry nerve impulses that are electrical currents in nature. Imagine the strange outcome if their insulating sheath is destroyed – whatever the reason may be. Often the baby appears to be normal at birth, and it is often not for some time that the nature of the disease makes itself apparent. Often there is a genetic tendency for these disorders. Most are ultimately referred by family doctors to major hospitals where they can be diagnosed and treated appropriately. There are a variety of disorders, but only a few will be briefly mentioned.
