What is David Humes most devastating philosophical critique of the church?
Been an empiricist, David Hume does not believe in anything which cannot be experienced. Hume’s problem is that, since he cannot experience the physical world, the self, causation, justice and most importantly god, he cannot be sure that they exist. So I guess this is the most devastating critique of the church, because it is not rational to believe in a god that one cannot experience.
