What is data transfer/bandwidth?
Bandwidth/Data Transfer is the amount of data that your hosting plan allows your site to send and receive each month. FTP transfers, site visitors’ page views and downloads from your web site all contribute to your data transfer amount. We have found that the vast majority of web sites use less than a few gigabytes (GB) of data transfer per month. If you were to go over your data transfer allotment for a particular month, you will be given the option to upgrade to a hosting plan large enough to cover your usage and/or purchasing additional data transfer at $3 per month per GB.
