What is DAB+ and are Vita Audio products compatible?
DAB+ is a further development of the existing DAB platform and is currently being adopted by many countries such as Australia, Switzerland and Germany as their choice for terrestrial digital radio. Benefits of DAB+ are even better sound quality and the ability to provide more stations and choice. In the UK, Ofcom (who regulate broadcasting) are yet to decide when this new system will be used, but our feeling is that they will probably choose to have DAB+ run alongside the UK’s current DAB platform for a number of years due to the large number of existing DAB radios that have already been sold. All our current models are ready to receive DAB+ transmissions, so you can rest assured that they are future-proof.
