What is currently happening with the wastewater treatment project in Dawson?
A contract has been signed with Corix Water Systems for the design and construction of a sewage treatment plant. In September 2009 a test hole was drilled to assess the water and soil composition of the location. Contaminated soil was also removed from the site. The project is subject to a full environmental and socio economic impact assessment, which will include many opportunities for Dawson residents to ask questions and provide input on the project.
